[RC] re:training schedule - Teresa Van Hove

Scott requested suggested training regimens for the hog wild 2-day
ride.

Please post to ridecamp. I'm particulary interested in viewpoints on
training for multi-day rides. I like the concept of every other day
riding to allow recovery time for tissues but for ya more serious
competitors do you make a point of doing some training rides
2-3 days in a row when preparing for a multi-day event? Also
would you tailor the regimen to the horses age or years of
competion? (ie would you stick more to LSD for a younger horse;
but be inclined to do more interval/speed work on a horse
thats been doing endurance for 3-4 years?

On the H&W award - the current motion is imcomplete, but
I agree with the principle. I dont want AERC ever discouraging
a member from entering a ride (especially if it might be one I
was managing that they were deciding whether to enter <g> )
