[RC] Anyone use a County Warmblood saddle - Karen Casemier

I actually posted as a guest last year, searching for saddle recommendations for my very short-backed Morgan mare.

I had made the decision to try a treeless saddle on her - and then I went and broke my neck in a freak riding accident!

I'm hoping to get back in the saddle in a couple months, but I think I'm going to want some extra security in the saddle. So, no treeless for right now.

I sat in a used County Warmblood last week, and loved it. I am short with short legs, and they offer a short flap option, which fits me perfectly. Also, since my accident I have lost about 20 pounds, and now fit comfortably into a 16.5 or 17 inch saddle - I'm hoping a smaller saddle will fit Mazzie better (due to her very short back). I like the gusseted panel and the wide gullet on the County - seems like it would work well for Mazzie (with typical round, broad shoulders and flat back of the Morgan).

Just hoping to hear if anyone has used a County for distance riding. I plan on doing a few CTRs this year (if I can get back in the saddle and comfortably condition) and I also do dressage.

Thanks!

Karen & Mazzie
