AW: [RC] FEI &AERC - Hilga Höfkens

Yes, the enforce this rule here too.
Your crew is not allowed to step over this line (onto the actual "trail")
and crew before you are in the "VC area". You should not stop moivg before
this line either.
At very windy and cilly rides however we find a way to get the blanket on
the horse before that. My crew sneaks to the "trail" just out of sight and
drops the blanket there for me. Then she will get back to the VC area and
wait for me. As I get of, I take the blanket and put it on. No "crewing"
going on there right?. Please don´t tell this to FEI officials ;-).

I don´t understand this vehicle thing either. Maybe the´ll argue that this
is not crew but only spectators. You do not see any waterbottles if you
don´t look, do you? ;-)

I've got a general FEI question for some of you in the know. I did a few
FEI rides and remeber there was a line where you "exited the trail and
entered the VC area". At Biltmore I put myself a pouring jug just
outside of it "technically on the trail" and realized it just in time to
drop the evidence. At Vermont our crew could not walk past that line to
even take the bit we'd just removed while we handed over our vet card.
With that in mind...how do they justify all those vehicles on course at
an FEI ride in Dubai?

P.S. if you respond, cc me since I'm not on RC right now.

Angie
