    Strongid is not the same thing as either Panacur or Safe-Guard. Strongid is Pyrantel Pamoate and Panacur/Safe-Guard is Fenbendazole. The only wormer that is chemically similar to Strongid is the product Rotectin 2. There is a neat book that I bought several years ago and is very expensive, but is great to have called the Compendium of Vetinary Products. It is about 4 inches thick and has a couple of paragraphs on every medicine used by vets. It was worth every penny of the $85 I paid for it in 1996 as it was a HUGE education for me.
