Ridecamp: [RC] Quality of Life Vs. Money

Or how about a lovingly cared for, happy Cushing's horse who is scraggy 
looking from the long coat and very thin despite your best efforts and HUGE 
feed bill for that animal.  Or your dog who has a brain stem tumor who is 
quite comfortable and happy, but is on steroids to treat the tumor and 
staggers, lists and drools all of the time.  Or the cat with kidney failure 
that has to have subcutaneous fluids everyday and is underweight because of 
the kidney failure.  But this animal is still happy, contented and enjoying 
life.

Only the Cushing's horse is still alive today, and I am enjoying every 
moment with her.  The other two have passed and I miss them terribly.  I 
have had conversations about the Cushing's horse with my vet, because I am 
concerned that some well meaning, but misguided person would call the MSPCA 
on me.  Even though my other 3 horses are well cared for and very healthy.

I think we have too much government in our lives now.  JMO.
