maybe take a few pictures and report their findings if things are this bad. Oh, I know, it would be bad for publicity

Years ago I was at a big Arab show. There was a big trainer who had a row of stalls in the same barn my horse was in.. their stalls were behind my horse and shared the common wall. Through a knot hole I could see into the stall behind me and the horse was tied up high on the wall at night. I reported this to the people who were putting on the show and they told me to take pictures of it and they gave me a polaroid camera. Well, at 1:00 a.m. I opened the top door of the stall and took the picture. I was shaking in my boots. The next day I gave the picture to them and they gave it to the show steward. He came by my stall and said that the photo didn't really show anything too bad and they were going to ignore it. It was obvious that this trainer brought a lot of horses to the show and they didn't want to step on anyone's toes.

Everyone I knew was horrified... with ME!!! They said I never should have stuck my nose into it, I was going to be blacklisted, I would never be able to go to a show again, yada, yada. I was totally disgusted and decided that trail riding held far more interest for me.
