    --- Begin Message --- I watch everything my farrier does, and would never even consider trimming my own horse.  Wish I had the skill and the talent, but I don't.  What I am going to learn, as soon as we get my new girl well rounded and balanced, is to remove and replace shoes in an emergency.  Once we get her to her optimum shape and size, I will have extra shoes made, and learn how to put them on between farrier visits if she looses one, or twists one.
