I hate to admit ... but I have seen my mother take a spill, right in front of me... And the helmet did its job.... I now have the helmet (hand me downs), and I love it.  When they come out with a purple on, I think I'll have to buy a new one. <g>

Jinnifer - I hate to break the news to you but you should probably replace the helmet sooner ... once a helmet suffers an impact, it's no longer considered protective.

On the brighter side, I just bought a few of these helmets for my program (we had over a dozen helmets to replace this year because they were over 5 years old ...) .  The opinions of riders & non-riders on the Range Rider was split; they either loved 'em or hated 'em.  They definitely don't look like a "riding helmet".  I don't really like it, straight off, but then I haven't worn it in the heat yet either.

One note if you plan to order one of these by mail (we did, as members of CHA we got them for $37 each) is that they run small in comparison to the measurements they give for sizing.  For the record, so do the Aussie Riders.

    Happy trails
