Okay.

Poppenga RH. Risks associated with herbal remedies. In: Bonagura JD, ed:
Current Veterinary Therapy XII. Philadelphia, PA: WB Saunders Co, 1995:
222-226.

In which supplementing garlic to dogs was demonstraed to produce anemia,
contact dermatitis and asthmatic attacks.

Other studies that I'm too lazy to type out describe that large doses of
garlic produce similar symptoms as onions, ie anemia, Heinz body formation
and hemoglobinuria (in other words, destruction of red blood cells).

Small amounts aren't a big deal, but don't assume because it grows, it's
harmless and always innocuous.
