Garlic is a Gift!  From the God(s)!!!  I can't see how it would be poison
for horses!  Someone prove me wrong!  Doctors Book of Food Remedies:  Garlic
lowers cholesterol, thins the blood, (watch this with "bleeders", usually
Thoroughbreds), prevents high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke.  Not
that Any of this is probs with equines!  However, garlic also appears to
block growth of cancer cells!!  Also attacks bacteria of ears, nose, throat.
Aids in healthy colon and stomach.  There are particulars in book to back
these "claims".
Must be wonderful benefits for equines added to natural bug repellant.  I
will continue to investigate!!  We grow patches of garlic for ourselves and
could harvest some for equines.  Word of caution!!!  Do not let horses eat
it as a whole plant, or chives -- onions either!  Not good.
