I recently read an article in Time I think that said researchers have found
evidence that the prolonged treatment of lyme sufferers with antibiotics
shows no benefit over people who were only treated briefly....wonder if the
same hold true for horses....

I spoke to my friend in NY and she said they treat horses out there with
with doxycyclin, just like humans!

Good luck to your friend and her horse. My friend in NY is still battling
the disease herself after several years.
