Do you know what works really well -- is Schreiner's.  I can't believe 
people haven't mentioned it yet.  My horse got a huge deep gash on his 
hindquarters in January -- too big to stitch (muscle tissue), the vet 
recommended Schreiner's spray -- I went to the local livestock supply and 
the guy there said that once I used it I'd never use anything else!  He was 
right!! The wound healed incredibly well.  k  P.S. here is their website,
