Painting helments

I have seen airbrushed helments on the jockeys sulky races. But the paint
can break down certain plastics.
As for looking cool... My husband thought the helments looked rather girly
till he picked his own dark green one. My helment has two ugly scratches in
them from riding in the dark and Ansata finding all the trees for me.
Anybody here have any ideers about something to put under my helment to so I
can keep warm? I have a 'boggin' but it is to thick. I have removed the
extra pads that it came with to keep it comfy but it is still to thick.
may be I need to have the top of my helment painted "this end up"
Carla (1 yr 6months till my endurance riding starts again.)
Ansata (1 year 6 months of freedom left..)
Haley (does this mean i am the backup?)
Rob (no no no 1 year 6 months till training thenn 1 more year till...)
