Easyboot alarm?

How 'bout this? Put a small bell on a string. Tie the string to a strap
around the pastern. Put a small pocket on the Easyboot that holds the bell
quiet when the boot is on. IF the boot comes off, the bell comes out of the
pocket, and starts jingling. Think it'll work? I'm going to try it if my
sewing skills don't fail me.

Also, I love Karen's tip about using duct tape to cover the metal parts
instead of using vetwrap on the whole hoof. I can get the boots on really
quickly now (Carla, you might try it).

I've also found my low heeled horse has improved from being barefoot for the
last 3 months. At first he chipped the $%@# out of his heel area and my vet
really got after me. BUT it seems to have allowed his heels to expand and
start growing straight down. Now they have stopped chipping and are
starting to look *much* better than when the shoes were pulled. Thanks to
those who got me through that initial panic at how bad his feet looked a
couple months ago!!
