is the brand name of a knife that has many tools as well as a blade .... 
screwdrivers, file, wirecutters, etc.  It's sort of the working man's Swiss 
Army knife, and though the latter has tweezers and scissors, the former has 
the great wire cutter and needle-nosed pliers.  My husband changed from the 
Swiss Army to the Leatherman once he discovered the latter, and he's a 
connoisseur (had to look up the spelling of that one) of pocket knives.  He 
absolutely won't go anywhere without one, not even to a wedding or funeral.  
Boy, does he ever set off the alarm in the airport checkpoints!  His pocket 
knife and his Tevis buckle have to be placed into the little tray every time 
he plans to fly anywhere.
