Certainly it is--and that's ALL it is.  Teenage boys seem to have a 
"preference" for wearing pants that are about to fall off their rear ends, 
too.  There is absolutely no practical reason for them to need to do so.  And 
that's the only point I'm trying to make here--that it is not a necessity, 
and in fact, is often sometimes even a detriment to follow that particular 
preference if one's goal is athletic performance.  But one has every right in 
the world to choose psychological comfort over other aspects--just want folks 
to be honest that that is what they are doing, that's all.
