Re: going bitless

Shelly,
I have a couple of sidepulls from Animal Tacker. These are her older
versions (~ 1987 or 1988). They last a long time - I had the chin strap
portion replaced, on the one I use most, for the first time two years ago
when Ann was set up at the Lone Star ride. They are biothane, so are very
easy to keep clean.
One of the things I like about dealing with Ann is if you tell her exactly
what you want, she will make it. My favorite one is the headstall, with a
browband [I prefer browbands instead of one ear type], made especially for
the sidepull, but on this one she has a ring at the bottom of the chinstrap
portion that enables me to use it as a halter, too. No endurance miles on my
equipment, but lots of pleasure riding and trail marking hours.

Ann is on the advertiser's list of endurance.net or you can call her at
1-800-wil-tack (945-8225).
Wish I had a digital camera so I could send you a picture of this.

Good Luck on your hunt,
Linda Parrish
