Re: RC: Feet fallin' Asleep

Your feet can't fall asleep if there isn't pressure somewhere.  How much weight are you putting in the stirrups when you post?  We had a trainer who pointed out that you should have no more than 4 oz. of weight in a stirrup.  Try putting your foot on your bathroom scale & seeing how much 4 oz is - not much!  If you can concentrate on not using the stirrup to post but instead allowing the horse's movement to lift you, you will probably have less foot problems.

Might also check your stirrup length.  The might need to be a little longer.  Lif
