Re: RC: Lawton Johnston

I would like to add that Lawton Johnson was a man we riders in the SE were
proud to call our friend. This is also true for many riders in other regions
also. Lawton was a model of what was best about endurance riding. I've ridden
with Lawton for the turtle award and we've raced in for "the win." In either
case Lawton was a true competitor, a true sportsman and always as gentleman and
a friend.

The sport has lost one of its the best, not only on the trail but also in the
way he conducted his life.
