There is an excellent site for ford super-duty trucks that has mountains of information. It is www.ford-diesel.com (It has a section for gas trucks also.) One of the things I learned on that list is that a F250 with the camper package and tow package is physically exactly the same as a 1 ton (single wheels on rear). BUT, the legal weight carrying spec is about 1,000 pounds more for a F350 than a F250. If you have a F250 with the above packages and a camper and trailer, it doesn't legally allow you much more than about 500 pounds of stuff (with a diesel - diesel engines are heavier). Alot of people ended up buying trucks that legally really couldn't do what they wanted - they'd planned on hauling these huge goose-neck RV trailers and found out that they had to get much smaller ones to legally stay in spec. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
