The high profile Woolback pad is a great all-purpose saddle pad. It is made of virgin wool pile fabric. It does not slip. It is made of virgin wool pile fabric. It does not slip, is absorbent, breathable, and durable. It is thick, but not too thick that you lose contact with your horse. Machine washable. Woolback in natural color only. Standard double thickness - $109. Triple thickness - $135 with girth loops. For 15 1/2" and larger saddles a 3" longer pad is available.
All pads, except the Woolback, are custom and non-returnable. Allow 2-4 weeks for delivery of saddle pads.
Equalizer Saddle Pad: For the long-distance haul of 100 miles and multi-day competition or for horses with sensitive backs, I highly recommend the Equalizer® Pad (shown right). Tested with a Computer Pad, this pad has proven it eliminates pressure points and dissipates concussion. Open cell inner pads allow maximum air and water vapor circulation, lessening heat and irritation. Inner pads are removable. Machine washable cotton-poly duck covering with 65% wool and 35% poly underside. Pad with 3/4" inserts $139; Pad with 1" inserts $149; 100% wool add $20.
Colors: kelly green, hunter green, navy blue, teal, purple, tan, gray, red, black, dark brown. Also available in multicolor Southwestern prints. Tapestry prints are an additional $20.
New from Skito! Drytop Sports Saddle Pad
Permits more air flow under the saddle. Made with 3M Nomad, an open mesh fabric and combined with the Equalizer foam, the Drytop enhances evaporation and the cooling process while protecting the horse's back. $220 for the 3/4" inserts or $230 for the 1" inserts. Same cover choices as for the Equalizer.
