need advice about breeds

I'd keep your mare.  The idea of a gelding to compete now sounds
great, but I also think an Arab/Morgan/Quarter could be a great
competitor as well.  Wouldn't mind that kind of cross for my next
horse!  I ride a purebred now and love him, but I'm a heavyweight rider
and most of the heavier-boned Arabs I've met are also taller and I don't
want that much height.  (Too hard to get on!)  Just my opinion.
