What I did with mine was:

1 - click on the mail above the happy99 mail (you will also lose this
mail so read it first, and make sure you can afford to lose it).
2 - hold down SHIFT, while using the down cursor/arrow button to
highlight the happy99 mail also. (you should now have 2 mails
highlighted, but only one showing in the window)
3 - use the mouse to drag the 2 pieces of highlighted mail into the
trash folder.
4 - delete the contents of the trash folder (from the file menu).

This trick also might be good to practice first.
