Speakers:

Kerry Ridgway, DVM, Sonoma, CA
Dr. Ridgway is an instructor for the Int'l Veterinary Acupuncture
Society and the American Veterinary Chiropractic Assn.  He provides
acupuncture and chiropractic care to horses throughout Northern
California and long-term care for horses with chronic problems at his
home location.
 
Diana Thompson, Fulton, CA
Diana is a horse trainer who teaches owners how to create truly healthy,
happy, performing horses, using massage, acupressure and nonviolent
training methods to calm the horses, relax their muscles and improve
coordination and cooperation.  She uses flower essences and homeopathic
remedies to ease equine fear, anxiety, behavior problems and first aid
situations.
 
Nancy Kasovich, Santa Rosa, CA
Nancy competed in the very first NATRC ride on Mt. Diablo in 1962 and
became a NATRC judge in 1970.  She has completed 10,000 miles in the
NATRC Open Division on 58 different horses over 37 years, and has never
been pulled or lost a shoe.

Featured Programs:

Saturday morning: Diana Thompson will outline holistic horsekeeping
practices, homeopathic remedies and flower essences which can improve
horse health and performance, along with a video showing stretching and
massage methods owners can use at home to help their horses.

Saturday afternoon:
 
Kerry Ridgway, DVM will discuss saddle fit as it relates to the distance
horse.  This will include a slide presentation.
 
Tony Benedetti, former NATRC Junior rider, will share how NATRC has
enhanced his lifetime with horses.
 
Nancy Kasovich will talk about NATRC's history and post-ride care of the
distance horse, including how to wrap a horse's leg.

Sunday morning: Kerry Ridgway, DVM will do a live demonstration at the
Sonoma County Fairgrounds Sheep Barn.  Topics will include acupuncture,
chiropractic and other alternative methods of caring for your horse.

Vendors open all day Saturday and until noon on Sunday!
