Re: RC: New Foals in Cold Weather

Hi Heidi
Brrrrr--where do you live anyway? Oh thanks for the info on ivermectin.
The vets here tell us to start foals on it at 2 months old (the mother
gives it to them through her milk the first month they say). Now I'll
have to do more research. Are there any recent studies that you are
familiar with on ivermectin and foals, or the need to rotate it? Most of
our vets here say you can use it with no need for rotation. I've gotten
so spoiled with using it constantly, but I'm not such an old dog I can't
learn new tricks. I use to rotate it with panacur and strongid.
