Wintec angst - again!

well of on to the jolly subject of saddles yet again. I swear this will be
cited as the main reason when my husband divorces me ...

Any way, I have a wintec GP which I love as does my horse. However my horse
has discovered an unusual quality to it. If he goes tearing of at a rate of
knots I can not grip the saddle Im left behind , loose my stirrups and
cannot stop him. Quite exciting as we ride in a very heavily built up area.
This works particlarly well after rain! The main problem is that the
synthetic material is very hard to grip to.

Any one else had a similiar problem re gripability? If so what did you do?
My current idea is a suede or maybe sheepskin all over saddle cover.

FWIW I dont have the same problem riding on my own , my horse is a false rig
and unfortunalty all my friends I hack out with ride mares , hence horses
excitability!

Cheers

Tamara
