Blanketing

Horses are comfortable with their own fur coats down to 15 degrees.
Being your horse has a thin winter coat, I would blanket him at night
when it goes into the single digits, then take off mid morning. Keeping
a blanket on all the time will make him dependent on it. You will
probably see a heavier coat next year. Good luck
