Endurance Bloodlines

Just logged on & read my mails find one of my questions answered. I don't
know much about American blood- lines but its the first time I've seen El
Shaklan promoted as "endurance" breeding, or Ansata for that matter,
however
I don't want to get Judith Forbis on my back, are there some Ansata horses
out there pounding down the trail. I've only ever seen them dolled up in
Arabian Horse World. However this isn't too say they won't do well. This
is just what makes breeding endurance horses such an uncertainty because
its
difficult to breed the mind-set which is so critical for a top endurance
horse.
I don't think anyone's trying to find fault with you but if I've learnt one
thing in my short time as an internet listie, if you post a
question/promote
ideas, be prepared for someone to walk all over them!

Hi Heather

Here in South Africa most of our top endurance horses over the last ten or
so years trace to an imported american stallion SAF FIRSTAAR, if your lo
oking for an endurance horse here anything with his blood in has a good
chance of being a first class endurance horse. SAF FIRSTAAR is a grandson
of ANSATA IBN HALIMA so here in South Africa is definately considered as
endurance "breedeing" along with MORAFIC who is also found in SAF
FIRSTAAR's pedigree. Another stallion AHIR (also imported) tracing to
MORAFIC is also a proven endurance bloodline here in South Africa.

Celeste (from South Africa)
Mawlud - pure crabbet (mmph these egyptians think they can do everything!)
Shadixx - arab/appaloosa (an SAF FIRSTAAR grandson with spots!)

PS. Just as a matter of interest most of the endurance stock containing
AHIR and SAF FIRSTAAR blood have crabbet breeding on the other end!
