saddle search

Please answer this one on-line.  I was
having the same problem at the end of
this years season.

From diane knapper:
OK, the great saddle search is on.  My
current saddle is
leaving dry patches behind on the
withers on both sides, and
they appear equal in size.  So here come
the questions:

1)  will a different saddle pad correct
this
2)  what causes this
