Straw construction



Wanted to add that we live in a frost & snow belt & have no problem at
all, nor does anyone else here - the trick is that you cannot allow the
bales to touch anything that will wick moisture into them.  So you use a
foundation + plastic moisture barrier and/or woodsill.  If the bales are
properly dry (and reputable suppliers will tell you what the moisture
content is - you should ONLY buy bales that have been baled for
construction!  Bedding straw bales will be too loosely packed).  Lif
