My old mare had one. I let it go, as
per the vet, and it clotted and busted.
Quite a nasty mess. A friend went through
the same thing. My brother's cow now has
one. I say, have it drained. All these
animals have always been well cared for.
The thing is, if the body cannot absorb
it in a reasonable length of time it may
clot. Trust me, you don't want that! If
the vet can lance it, and agrees to do it,
I would definitely have it done. It will
heal pretty quickly afterwards. Good luck,
