Shoe the horse as you would any other horse (shoeing angle matching pastern
angle, a foot that lands square or slightly heel first), but don't try and
correct termino - that swimming motion. It is a characteristic of the
breed - not just a show ring thing. Look closely, and it should be
originating in the shoulder. It has nothing to do with the feet. Actually
for a mature horse, correcting a winging problem (assuming level landing)
would probably not be wise.

There are several lists for Peruvian horse owners. See

to other websites. Lynn Kinsky (who is on most of the lists) has done both
endurance and CTR on Peruvians and would be the resident expert on that
subject.
