This is why we never ask our farrier to do the work without someone there
holding the horse.  Despite an excellent farrier and a well-behaved horse,
things can sometimes happen.  I just feel that not only is it safer in case of
strange happenings, but it's much more courteous to the farrier.  Now, my
friend's cousin is apprentecing with him, and sometiimes if they beat her to the
farm they'll grab a horse and start working but it's their chioce, not something
we expect.  Anyway, our farrier is too much fun to talk to for us not to be
around!
