RC: An idea for LD rides

I've never quite understood this either...I can understand why the 100s
start first and so early but they often have a loop or almost a full
loop under their belt before the rest come storming by so being buzzed
isn't as big a problem I don't think.

Not so with 50s/25s - I've had many fly-by's <g> early to midway on the
first loop of a 50 - I've often wondered why the start order isn't 100s,
25s, 50s....Depending on the size of the ride it's almost impossible to
prevent a pile-up at that first check no matter what you do so why not
let the 25s go ahead and get down the trail. A 30 min head start would
most of them would already be back at camp before the 50s were halfway
around :))

Are there other reasons - or maybe a rule - about starting 50s then 25s?
