Hi Dolly--

It's my guess that CSF is a cottonseed product. Cottonseed is used as a
protein supplement in ruminant feeds but contains gossypol, a compound
that is quite toxic to horses. Although you didn't mention it in your post
of the ingredients, another possibility is the presence of monensin
(rumensin), another feed additive good for cattle but very toxic to
horses.
