Skito pad problem

I received my new Skito pad early this month and am very disappointed
with it. It will *not* stay put behind the cantle; the back of the
pad twists off to the left, leaving the horse's right loin area bare.
The front of the pad stays secure. On my first ride, I was unaware
of the problem until another rider who came up behind me called my
attention to it. Subsequent rides show that the pad starts to slip
within minutes of riding.

The first time I sat in my saddle with the new pad, I felt much
higher in the saddle. The foam inserts really lift the saddle
*up*. Could the saddle be too high off her back, leaving little
contact between the back of the saddle and the back of the pad?
Do you think I need to shim? If so, would I need to lift the front
of the saddle?

I am also disappointed with the wool blend backing. I got the blend
because the customer service rep said it would be cooler, but it is
really quite skimpy and flattens out.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Judy &
MSA Hilary...Why does everyone keep saying my slip is showing?.
