At Les Schwaub Tires , they also have a traction increasing method called Siping,
basically they have a machine that cuts very shallow, directional [ like a razor blade would do ] little slashes in the tread of your tire to rough them up, it works well....Cleats [ like my golf shoes ] can cause trouble as ice may be spotty , and
would be hazardous to joints, ect., where a surface similar to what they glue to steps, that sandpaper like stuff, may be a safer, more effective [ although how they would wear is anyone`s guess] and the shallow cuts in the rubber sole to rough it up may not wear well either. May be cheaper than a vet bill though :):):) Well it is off season now, and who knows , someone may come up with the perfect all condition style by next year.......glue-on traction strips ???? OKAAAY   just a thought.... Sherrie
