Re: another despooking



Years ago, when I first got Suni, a woman at the stable came into the yard
with an umbrella.  I told him, "don't worry, she isn't after you."  Then,
because he continued to spook, I turned around and she was, at least
following, after us!
With that in mind, I decided to introduce Suni to everything that came our
way--big trucks with the engine running, a painter at his easle.  I just
told Sun how LUCKY he was to be able to see such INTERESTING sights.  Worked
mostly, but he never warmed up to umbrellas.  However, I ended up with mixed
feelings about umbrellas myself, because when I take them into the corral,
Akela, the baby, tries to get under it with me.  I'm afraid he'll put out an
eye.  Fox thinks we're all crazy.  But then, he's always thought that.
