Re: leasing

Hi Lif,
Knowing that you are much more knowledgeable than I...I decided to pick
your brain, if you allow me to do so???

I have a very very nice 10yo Arabian mare (Old Egyptian bloodlines) for
sale. This mare is a solid gal. Very elegant in appearance and movement.
15h and NO vices. I have ridden her LD
for 5 years (off and on due to several surgeries and illness on MY part not
hers).
Anyway, I had decided to sell her and get another young one to begin again
with (this is what I like to do). I THOUGHT she was sold, but the gal who
had her for 3 months paid me NOTHING, so I repo'd the mare. Meanwhile,
while the mare was with this gal and I THOUGHT she was sold, I bought a
gelding. (I cannot keep two horses, so since the
plan was to sell the mare to begin with...she is again for sale).

NOW...to the problem. Someone may want to lease her. I would much much
rather sell her, as I will get attached all over if she comes home for any
length of time. But, I may HAVE to go that route if I cannot sell her.

Can you tell me what is a normal/rational amount to get per year on a
breeding lease for a mare, as well as a riding lease for
someone who wants to do endurance on her?????

I have her insured for 3400.00 mortality, etc. and she is very very well
trained...
	thanks for any help...

I STILL say I want to get to N.Mex, yet.....
