Patty, Here in FL our ride season is in the winter, but the days are short, 
so if we want to ride we have to train in the dark!  Most horses can see just 
fine in the dark, for my own eyesight I try to stay on sandy forest roads & 
trails.  Obviously it helps if your trails are cleared "head-high".  ;-> Good
