What Tammy has written makes me realize how lucky I've been and also that
sarcoids, because they are usually slow-growing, can turn out very
differently.
I discovered one on Suni's sheath when he was six. A year or so later, it
started growing. Since there wasn't much room there, I opted to have
cryosurgery. The sarcoid returned soon after. I follow it up with ribigin
(sp?) which was injected into the spot sseveral times over the course of
weeks. For a couple of years, the sarcoid remained small and apparantly
dormant, then one day, it turned an angry red. The vet excised it. It's
now been 10-11 years and it hasn't come back. But my guess is that each
treatment contributed to the success even if it wasn't apparant at the time.

Also, if it had not been on his sheath and either growing or looking as
though it was about to change, I would not have done anything.
