How about slowing up and safely going around the truck.  They had to be able
to see the truck  if they were able to look for a route around it.  Im sure
that there were other people in the area  that the riders could see too.  Im
sorry , I love my horse and mule and I am a fierce competitor,  but I would
not risk my animals and my safety blindly dodging around a vehicle not
knowing what is on the other side of it.  Yes, I may have lost the race in
by slowing down to "check it out"  but I sure as hell wouldnt have gone past
people at that rate of speed and expect them to be able to get out of my
way.  I wasnt there so I cant speak for the others,  I just know that I do
watch where Im going when I ride.    gesa n clovis
