National Championship Ride

Well I went on Digest for Ridecamp because I figured by the time I went to 
all the trouble to respond to a post, I would be cooled off and not 
bother,,,just consider the source.  However, I have decided as one of the 
"nobodies" who participated in the NC ride this year, I have to respond to 
the latest post....   As it happens , there were not many folks in my 
division but I finished 6th overall to make sure I would win it.  I rode the 
50 mile because that is what I wanted to do and was able to qualify with this 
horse this year.  The vast majority of AERC members ride 50s, not 100s and 
consider this distance a ":classic" distance.  I think you owe all 50 mile 
riders an apology with extras to the participants of the NC.  All but me, 
that is,  as I said I consider the source of such comments and they mean 
nothing to me
