RC: training question

I'd have to say get the horse to react to whatever the object is in a manner
where he will trust _you_ in what to do and not be scared of the object.

A roundpen John Lyon's exercise I like alot is to put the horse in the
roundpen and introduce so many new things to the horse that soon nothing new
or scary is looked at with too much interest. At the same time, the handler
shows him how to react which puts his trust into the handler and gives the
horse comfort and an outlet for its stress.
"whew" If that doesn't explain it then well, it just didn't but hopfully
you will pursue technique on your own and read about it. It is more
complicated and layered then what I can explain.

Any scary situation can be overcome if the horse has developed trust in you
and your judgement.

& have fun!!
