I didn't see the original post, but as an endurance rider who has been
*very* happily married for 17 years My husband and I have advice for both
of you. 

I've got a great "endurance husband".  His comment when he found out that
*yet another* endurance riding friend was getting a divorce..partly
because the guy resented the time she spent on her sport was this:  "When
you get married your goal is to make your spouse happy....she made it
easy for you dummy"

My advice is this:  ALWAYS pretend that a really good all day training
ride puts you in the mood to cook and have sex.
