  Oh, so wrongo.  I live near Chicago and I will take an occasional tornado, 
humidity and below zero temps anytime over earthquakes!!
  I guess it's all in what you are used to.  The descriptions of parking 
lots  doing the wave, etc. are nerve wracking for me.  At least we have some 
idea of when many tornados will form and they only do damage over a section 
of land.
