You can't? I know at least one person who does.

If you flatten down those teeth, they don't tear up the 
hoof wall. Using the vet wrap seems to hold the whole thing
in place. But make sure the heel strap is properly adjusted
for your horse. I was told you can cut it down to two bars
and still have it work for low heeled horses.
