HRM mis-readings

I thought the same thing. Usually towards the end of a ride,
my cinch gets too loose and bingo, the horse is suddenly walking 
along at 180 bmp. Ack, go I, in major panic and end up scrabbling 
around under the horse to try and push the bottom electrode
down around the cinch. All that happens is the horse thinks
I'm telling him to pick the pace up, so he does and I end up
hanging around his neck.

If you've ever taken one electrode off, and left the other
one on, you get the same effect - it registers in the 180-200
range.

And the same if you get a broken wire... bin there, done that,
took a while to calm down and figure that one out (and understand
that no, the horse wasn't dying).
