WHERE WILL ENDURANCE HORSES COME FROM...

Lif,
I agree, it is "sad and disheartening" that there are attitudes in the
horse world that relegate good endurance horses so low on the buying world's
ladder.
But, that said and understanding the "market" and how it works, doesn't
mean I agree with it.
I don't, for a moment, believe that every horse bred by an endurance person
turns out to be an endurance horse. Nor does every horse bred by a dressage
person turn out to be a dressage horse, etc.
What I do believe is that the "cream rises to the top"...but, it can take a
loonngg time.
And to answer your question as to "where will the endurance horses come
from...", from whence they always have, i.e., THE ENDURANCE TRAIL WILL SHED
ALL THE LIGHT NECESSARY IN THAT REGARD. Proven endurance lines will bear out
and if we don't give in to sell low in order to do stupid things (like pay
bills, buy hay, etc.), someone will pay fair value for a truly well-bred
endurance horse. If not, well, that's the nature of supply and demand.
    Peace and love,
          Frank.
