Well Frank, where are the endurance horses going to come from?  The same
developmental costs apply to show horses, race horses, whatever horses.
If endurance riders don't/can't pay for endurance horses, then they will
always be paying for a former show, race or whatever horse - which by
the very economics of the situation won't be a horse that was successful
in its own field - it won't be a horse bred for endurance.  That's the
way it is, and I'm not arguing with the facts,  I just find it sad and
disheartening.    Lif
